All GP Practices are contracted to provide “essential services” i.e. basic treatment of ill people. We also provide the following additional and enhanced services:
Child Health Surveillance
6 week baby check Dr Smith
Contraception
Maternity Services – in the antenatal and postnatal period, provided together with midwives from Princess Royal Maternity Hospital.
Child Immunisations
Are done by Practitioner Services at centralised clinics.
Travel Immunisations
With the practice nurse
Other Services
- Freezing of Warts – and other small skin lesions
- Cervical Smears & Swabs
- Annual Flu Immunisation
- Regular Monitoring – by blood and urine tests for patients on a range of drugs
- Annual Reviews – for patients with heart disease, asthma, epilepsy, thyroid problems, COPD, diabetes and learning difficulties.
